  9. I have a Cardinal 288iv, connection report shows the followings: 
  10. carrier 28800 Protocol: lap-m compression: v.42bis  connect: 
  11. 2400/arq. 
  12. Can anyone explain the connect at 2400/ARQ means? The manaul 
  13. stated DTE rate modem to PC. I am using the string: 
  14. AT&F&C1&D2&Q5&k3s95=46V1X4+MS=11,1,14400,28800.
  15. Netscape download showing the rate at 2.1k/sec, what does it 
  16. mean? Is it slow or fast? How can I find out if I get the best 
  17. connection?
  18. Is there any freeware that showed the performance of the modem?
  19. Any comment would be appreciated, thanks.
